January 2005 – We recommend you do not respond to Gladedale
by completing their 'feedback forms' |
| |
Our best strategy at this stage is to refrain
from commenting in writing to Gladedale's proposals or alternatives.
It can be used by them to their advantage. Give them an inch
and they will take a mile.
You will notice for the same reason, SPAG have also refrained
on this web site from making any detailed reactive comments
to Green Issues or Gladedale at this stage (with respect to
their exhibition or web site).
Remember, the West Berkshire Council Planning Department cannot
effectively react to letters on the subject at this stage –
hold your fire. The West Berkshire Council take notice of individual
opposition letters once a planning application has been made.
These will be one of the most important opposition tools we
will have. For your information, greater than 10 letters, or
greater than 20 signatures on a petition, ensures that any application
is not dealt with under delegated powers but goes to full Planning
Committee for a decision. |
