Land Purchase
The sale of the land identified by Gladedale Homes in the May
2004 issue of the Goring Gap News (below)
from Streatley Estates Limited (Geoffrey Minter), to Gladedale
Urban Developments Limited, was completed on 26th
March 2004. The sale date has been confirmed by Gladedale's
solicitor (Gardner Weller). |
Geoffrey
Minter has confirmed to us the sale was outright and not
subject to planning, or further payments in the event
of planning approval. Furthermore he confirms no retained
interest in the land, or in any Gladedale Holding.
ALL the land that Gladedale
have purchased is outside the Streatley 'Settlement
Boundary'.
The land is in three parcels. The land to the North of
the High Street is notable in that the meadow directly
in front of Streatley House (Ordnance Survey Field No.
3686) is within the Conservation
Area boundary. |

The land on the South of the High Street has two access ways
off the High Street. The first a narrow driveway alongside the
brick and flint house 'Flintstones' and the second being the
narrow un-made roadway, Vicarage Lane. The land alongside the
river on the east side of Vicarage Lane is within the Conservation
Area and also within the Environment Agency's designated flood
plain.
